Rooms are a bit outdated and there’s a lot lacking with them, however the warm friendliness of the people working there more than made up for what was lacking. I was exhausted from driving and just needed a place to sleep for a couple hours. My eyes were closed, so what did it matter. If I were looking for a 5 star hotel, I would have looked elsewhere, but it was more than sufficient for what I needed.

I'm an over-the-road truck driver. I would stay there when I was passing through on my route. I've lived in that town before and it's always kind of had a bad rep. I always try to overlook gossip. As a few months past I noticed it's a lot of police and medical people and heebie-jeebies if that's a word. I always make sure I tip everybody well because we all deserve to be tipped. I'm going to change my five-star review to 4 and also say I will not be staying there anymore. My last visit was very odd as the housekeeper walked in the room at 10:00 while I'm naked in bed still asleep. She said something about not seeing my truck outside and to rest well. That was the final jeebie for me. Update 12/08/25 So I recently stayed here again after a little hiatus. The stay was pretty pleasant. The housekeeper Holly (I think) should be given a raise. I had left the day before my check out and was going to clean up and check out the next day when I got back to the area. I left it pretty manly gross and when I arrived the next morning to clean up,grab belongings, and check out, she had already passed through. She had the room immaculate,my things were there, and it was two minutes to collect my gear and go. Money is a little tight for me at the moment but I would have left her a twenty tip easily If I could have. The new owner seems like he thinks everyone is stealing and on "drugs" when speaking to him but I understand his guards being up, he has done a lot of work to the rooms it seems and it's actually pretty nice and quiet. Good job Jim, Holly, etc. You all have it looking good. Thanks all for the hospitality.

I stayed here with my cousin for a few nights following a very long drive. We knew from reading reviews and looking online that this wasn't going to be a glamorous hotel, and we were fine with that. We just needed somewhere to sleep and the prices were good. Yes, the place is kinda dirty, outdated and could really use a good cleaning-at least someone to vacuum the halls once in a while. Yes, there might be some cockroaches and some cigarette smells. So if those things bother you- I wouldn't book here. But I feel like you should read reviews before you book a hotel stay and if you don't- that's on you! I understand why some people would be grossed out- but it takes a lot to bother me and a couple dead cockroaces isn't going to shake me too much, but yes they should clean a little better. It's not like they're crawling all over the place or anything, but still. Our room was pretty clean, however. More clean than the hallways and the outside. The parking lot and entrance was hard to find- especially at night. There's not much to draw you to it, but it is in a great location and my Lord if Gordon Ramsay could come fix this place up, it could be a serious gold mine! It's right next to a big gas station with food and a jack in the box, and the town is right there and has tons of shops. So everything you need is close by. But as it sits right now, this hotel is a simple spot to rest your bones with friendly people. The other guests were kind. the staff were beyond friendly and helpful, and honestly it felt like I wasn't that far from home! I would absolutely stay here again.

Driveway was a bit hard to find in the dark, but found it. Parking lot unimpressive, but not scary, well lit and supervised. Room rates quite reasonable, very pleased with that. The halls are a bit spooky, but I'm sure they'll clean them up, considering the obvious effort put into the rooms. VERY impressed with my room, VERY clean, VERY comfortable, NICE, firm bed and everything I could wish for except a view. Excellent value for the money and I will definitely be back - also will recommend to friends. OH! Before I forget, very helpful and friendly staff, too!

First off, if you’re looking for the Hilton, go to the Hilton. This is a small business motel and quite honestly was one of the best stays I’ve experienced in 26 states worth of “cheap” motels. This one actually delivered: 1. Quiet 2. Safety 3. Perfect location 4. Amazingly comfortable bed and bedding 5. A hot shower 6. Professional and prompt service Yes the decor isn’t superior but it’s functional and who cares? Did you come here to look at the outlets or the culture?? I personally think the hotel is exactly what the adventurous people would love: a good nights sleep and a hot shower. There are AMPLE opportunities for food within walking distance. My first visit to Missouri from Minnesota and if I ever come this way again I will 100% stay here. Every time.

Our stay here was great! The decor is a bit outdated, but it still felt clean and was well kept. The staff was PHENOMENAL. Everyone was so nice and happy to help with any requests. Anna, specifically, was absolutely amazing. It’s located near a ton of food and shops and it’s not far from downtown Detroit. Would 100% stay here again.

This is one of the few hotels all located by each other. Right by main hwy junctions, gas stations, Casey's, taco bell, McDonalds, Waffle House. If you're in a jam with no place to stay... they will work with you. I stayed here for a night when I was down to my last dollars and they gave me a discounted rate. All of Troy is pretty welcoming as far as a small town to start over goes. Plenty of places within walking distance of hotels to work without a lot of distraction. Surrounded by rural opportunities as well if one is goal driven.
